PRICING GUIDE

After buying a home any remodeling project can seem like a daunting task. That's why we work with you every step of the way to help minimize the hassle and get you closer to your ideal space. We don't believe in taking "shortcuts" or using low grade building materials in our own homes, so we never recommend that for our client's homes. We pride ourselves in getting things just right, just the way it should be.

Pricing varies greatly on a project-by-project basis depending on your budget. During our initial meeting we discuss which ideas will work based upon your budget and space, and outline a plan of action that everyone feels comfortable with.

Take a look at the figures below to gain a better feel of what some of our lower and higher-end projects cost. Remember, these are merely estimates based on past work we’ve completed. Your project and ideas are unique, so we discuss a plan that is custom-tailored for you when we meet.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Do you provide a free estimate?

Yes, our initial consultation is free of charge because we understand that your project is unique, and it can be difficult to estimate costs on your own. After our first meeting (which typically lasts about 30-45 minutes), we provide you with a “Budget Estimate”.  This estimate gives you a high level overview of your project, what is possible and how much it will cost. We then sign a design agreement and make all the material selections. Following our meeting, we draft a proposal with a detailed scope of work.

Why do you require a phone conversation before we meet?

We correspond using email and text communication throughout a project. The purpose of an initial phone conversation is to get to know you, understand what your project needs are and ensure that we are the right fit for your project. There are many projects that don’t fit our specialization, and we believe in only taking on projects in which we will be able to provide a stellar result.

Do I need to move out of my house during the remodeling?

Not necessarily. Although renovations can get messy and noisy, RCS specializes in keeping the mess and noise to a minimum.  If you choose to stay in your home, you can certainly do so.  Many of our clients choose to live in their home during remodeling, especially if the project is in a specific area of the home – like the kitchen, bathroom or basement – where the mess can be contained away from the main living space. Our clients find that our team of professional tradesmen are very courteous, but keep in mind: if your project is extensive, it may become more practical for you to temporarily move out. Every client and situation is different, and RCS prides itself on being able to find a practical solution for everyone. We'll discuss your specific situation prior to scheduling your project and go from there.

How do you keep dirt and dust out of other parts of my home?

Although remodeling can be and often is very dusty and dirty, we take significant measures to reduce the mess while your project is under construction. We install plastic dust barriers (i.e. plastic drapes hung at wall openings) and drop cloths (i.e. a plastic carpet cover) to isolate the construction area as much as possible. We cover any HVAC registers in the work areas and often incorporate “negative draft” (we make sure the air pressure in the containment area is always less than the pressure outside so that dust isn’t able to escape) practices to help further reduce the migration of dust to other areas throughout your home. We are very sensitive to and considerate of dust control and do everything we can to make sure that you enjoy the process.  The bottom line: you are our priority.

Will you do our project if we purchase the materials?

We do not take on projects without providing the materials ourselves. We do this to ensure that not only are the materials exactly what you want, but to ensure the quality and craftsmanship of the materials so that you can enjoy your new renovation for many years to come.

ABOUT
ABOUT THE OWNER

Owner of RCS, Kyle Conroy, has been immersed in the ever-growing South Florida development scene for over 10 years.

Since 2011, Kyle has been managing large-scale construction projects for Ft. Lauderdale based, Moss Construction Management. As the Project Manager for the construction of facilities such as the Donna Shalala University of Miami Student Center and the University of Miami School of Nursing Simulation Hospital, Kyle gained the skills, knowledge, and experience he'd need to be successful in the contracting space and continued to advance professionally within the Moss organization. While Kyle enjoyed the opportunities that came from working on high profile projects, he found himself missing the ability to be truly hands on and implement innovative building practices that he is so enthusiastic about, but are not often possible within larger organizations. Through this passion, RCS Builders was born.

RCS prides itself not only on the skill of each final project, but on the level of customer service you can expect to experience throughout the process. Kyle’s contracting expertise coupled with his unique prior history of hospitality management ensures all projects are handled with professional courtesy and respect.

Kyle has a Bachelor’s of Science in Finance from the University of Delaware, and a Master’s of Science in Construction Management from Florida International University.
